Silver Jubilarians pay tribute to teachers

Class of 1987 paid tribute to its former teachers during its Silver Jubilee Night and Tribute to Teachers at Shacene Restaurant, Tandag City on May 13, 2012.

Forty-two members of the class expressed their gratitude to their former mentors led by the present School Principal, Mrs. Imelda C. Falcon. Aside from Mrs. Falcon, the activity was attended by Mrs. Priscilla Avila, Mrs. Petra Morales, Mrs. Sofia Patrimonio, Mr. Felino Patrimonio, Mr. Rodrigo Paganpan, Mrs. Eliza Cervantes,  Mr. Ruben Urbiztundo, Ms. Irma Urbiztundo and Mr. Venecia Revilleza. 

in 1987, Mrs. Falcon was the class adviser of IV - Dove while Mrs. Revilleza was IV-Canary's adviser, both still in active service. Mr. Rodrigo Paganpan was the class' CAT Commandant, the former's first handling of CAT in the school, after Mr. Patrimonio was promoted to Principal of Buenavista National High School. Mr. Ubiztundo was a former Biology teacher and his wife is still at the school administration office. Mrs. Avila was adviser of the I- Silver in 1983 and still teaches English. Mr. Patrimonio used to teach Trigonometry aside from CAT. Mrs. Patrimonio was Social Studies and English teacher. Mrs. Morales handled the school dance troupe while Mrs. Cervantes was an HE teacher.

Mrs. Falcon also inducted the class officers. She recognized the importance of the alumni, the conduct of alumni homecoming, especially the celebration of Silver Jubilee like that of Class 87. She welcome idea that every year an alumni homecoming be held with the jubilarians leading the celebration. She thanked the members of Class 87 for a number projects it implemented/to be implemented: financial assistance to ten graduating students, books donation, 1st year TLE laboratory equipment, website project and ICT trainings.
